Freedom through teaching others self-reliance
I was an early member of the American Preppers Network Forum and a moderator for the North Carolina Preppers forum. I learned a lot from several of the knowledgeable folks who have been active on the forum. It was my “go to” forum when I was learning. There are many more forum members now. I haven’t really kept up with the posts in the past few months. I would recommend it to people who are new to prepping and/or looking to meet up with other preppers in their states. I have made some good friends through APN and continue to keep in touch. For example, the NC Preppers forum has an annual camp-out with about 50 people attending. We have classes/demonstrations of various prepping/survival/homesteading subjects and a lot of comaraderie.
APN fills a good niche of being balanced between males and females including subjects of interest to both. It is mostly family friendly with trolls and flaming taken care of pretty quickly by the moderators. Politics and religion are primarily kept to some pages dedicated to those subjects that can be avoided if you prefer. I often refer new preppers from my NC Preppers facebook page and blog to APN.
APN is a great resource. My husband and I often have the chicken or the egg argument over this, but I heard of the expo from APN and he heard of APN from the expo! Go figure!HA! Great resource and fun chatting with others around the country.
I too love this site. Great info and friendly people.
APN is one of the first places I go if I need to learn about anything to do with Prepping. It is a great resource, full of friendly, knowledgeable people. I learned about American Standard Pressure canners, Canning, Vacuum sealing food, Dehydrators and dehydrating, and a host of other things on their site. In turn, I share my construction and gardening in the desert SW knowledge there.
I also met several local couples who have become friends on that site.
You cannot go wrong, becoming a member of the American Prepper’s Network.
A nice forum that has decent variety of Preppers from various walks of life and experiences. Tom, the founder and owner of APN is a very easy person to work with. Some of the moderators need to have their egos put in check. I will say that there is a decent amount of information that anyone can acquire by research the various post on the forum. Our company is/was a Sponsor Member and appreciate helping Preppers to become Self-Reliance in the way of Gardening with Heirloom Seeds. That’s why we support APN Gold Members with a 10% discount on ALL of our Heirloom Seeds and products. We are the makers of the Survival Seed Capsule that is feature on Youtube. We wish APN much success in their endeavors now and in the future.
