Cook full meals with sun ovens
Price is the only “ouch” with this product. Bought one at the Self Reliance Expo a while back after attending a class. So impressed with how perfect my chicken turns out, falls off the bone!
Got one off ebay for an OK price but still a little on the pricey-side as far as items we’ve bought for our homestead. Our family loves it though, so easy to operate (once the instructions are read) and no power necessary! It’s a very moist heat too so usually everything comes out delicious. You have to be careful with stuff like pasta though.
The best solar cooker on the market as far as I have been able to find. Price is high, but my family loves when I cook a roast in it. Falls apart and never dry!
Great oven, warms up fast, good quality, food come out fantastic but it’s a little pricey, at least it’s made in the USA!!! They offer a lot of giveaways that are nice but they seem IMO to be info grabbing gimmicks or they make you down load an app to qualify. I would like a chance to win the prizes but not games. Still I would buy again. Thanks
I have 2 of these ovens (the previous model) and just love them. Just had a Sun Oven® picnic, and it was a lot of fun! About 6 of us brought our ovens, cooked in them, and then shared our food. A friend of mine had done a zucchini casserole that was outstanding. Tried it at home in my regular oven the next day, and there was no comparison. The food cooked in the Sun Oven® wins out every time! The ovens do seem pricey, but then the shipping is included, and I’m sure it isn’t cheap to send. Plus, when you consider that you purchase an oven for your home and then keep paying the utility company every time you use it, well the Sun Oven® doesn’t look quite so expensive when you consider what you’re getting. I use mine all the time and feel that I have definitely got my money’s worth!
